Program Manager

Portarlington Neighbourhood House welcomed a new Program Manager, Rob Sztogryn in September 2021. Rob is supported by Administration Assistant Kate Hayes, and they are both delighted to be part of the PNH community.

Rob grew up in the Western suburbs of Melbourne and first discovered the Bellarine Peninsula while attending Deakin University in Geelong. After graduation, his career took him back to Melbourne for some time, but the opportunity to settle permanently on the Bellarine about four years ago. Rob has embraced life in Portarlington and is an active member of the community.

He enjoys regular gatherings at both the Lawn Bowls Club and the Golf Club, is a member of the local gym, and enjoys the restaurants and wineries of Portarlington and surrounds. Rob's previous experienced in management across a wide variety of industries, plus his approachable and friendly nature is a great fit and welcome addition to the PNH and wider community.

Kate relocated to the Bellarine Peninsula over 14 years ago after discovering it as a wonderful place to raise a young family. Her background is similarly varied, and she has worked in law, public relations, and publishing.

Both Rob and Kate are committed to enhancing the members' experience at PNH,  building on the well-established role it already plays in the community. They adopt an 'open door' policy where any members of the community can feel comfortable popping in, with suggestions or ideas - or just for a chat.

They aim to ensure PNH offers a sense of fun and well-being, and to create a welcoming, safe, and friendly atmosphere for all.

Rob can be contacted via email coordinator@portnh.org.au  or by phone on 5259 22902.
